Today is Relaxation Day. This holiday gives people a chance to unwind and pamper themselves (or each other). It is widely celebrated by spas, massage therapists, yoga centers, and other branches of the personal service sector. However, people often observe Relaxation Day at home with a bubble bath, a picnic, or a nap in a hammock.
If you don't already have a meditation corner at home, today is a great time to make one. It can be as simple as a cushion or yoga mat to sit on, a mandala poster, some soothing incense, and/or an album of trance music. Sit down and concentrate on tensing and then relaxing your body, a little at a time, starting with your feet. Relax your mind by meditating on peace and calm. Remember that even though there is a holiday for relaxation, this is really something you should do regularly. |
