Spell: Reflecting on Father

Father's Day

Today is Father's Day. Many of us will honor our biological fathers with a visit, a phone call, a gift, or something else to mark this occasion. For some of us, the person who has acted as a father to us may not necessarily be our biological father; some men may also act as father figures to those to whom they are not related by blood. Additionally, some may have strained relationships with their fathers-or none at all. And for some, "Father" isn't a human being, but a deity. Regardless of who your father is and what your relationship may be, take some time today to observe that relationship; the same goes if you are a father yourself. You may be celebrating the presence of a wonderful person in your life, or you may take time to heal and mourn. Either way, may this day be blessed.
