LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Fire Spell for Change

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Gold
Incense of the day: Sage

On this day, Buddhist monks pay homage to Betora Bromo, the Indonesian god of fire. Fire is the element of change, so write down the intentions you made for the New Year. Have flowers and small gifts of food prepared for the gods of fire. If you have a fireplace, start a new fire in it. If you don't, pour sand in the bottom of your cauldron to a height that will hold a candle. Burn your gifts and thank the powers of fire. When the gifts are burned, meditate on the changes that you need to make in order to realize your New Year's resolutions. When you feel ready to burn your intentions, say:

I wish for this, this wish to be. I wish this wish, this wish for me.
