This is Collect Rocks Day, a wonderful opportunity to honor the earth element. Most of the planet consists of stone, although much of it is covered by a comparatively thin layer of water. Before you start, take a moment to thank the Earth for her gifts. If you're looking for anything special, meditate on that to improve your chances of finding it. There are many ways to collect rocks. If you live near a rockhound shop or Pagan store, you can buy some. Quarry yards are great places to look for larger landscaping stones. If you have a yard, you can walk around and search for interesting pebbles—near your driveway is a good place. You can even visit rockhound sites where you pay a small fee to dig for quartz, agate, or other semiprecious stones. When you get home, thank the Earth for sharing its stones with you. Clean them up and store them with labels of their type, because different ones have different magical properties. |
