When the June dusk has turned to dark
And the only light is a firefly's spark,
Go to a quiet spot to make a fairy bed.
Here the little folk can rest their head.
Find a spot and lay a fern leaf
and a bit of grass so green,
Keep it hidden so it can’t be seen.
Over it sprinkle your poppy
seeds to give sweet dreams.
Now the wee folk can sleep beneath
the stars and the moonbeams.
