In September, asters reach their peak. They are an old favorite to use in love spells. For this spell, you’ll need the petals from one purple aster. You can find asters easily at a florist. You’ll also need a red candle in a holder, a square piece of burgundy fabric, and a red ribbon.

Place the petals on the fabric and tie up the corners with the ribbon. Light the candle and hold the bundle as you speak these words of power:

This candle I light of brightest red,
Bring me one who’ll woo my
heart and turn my head.
Aster, flower of love, I wrap
in cloth the color of wine,
Bring me the one who’ll be mine.

Let the candle burn down for a while, and hide the bundle.

After the spell works, scatter the petals upon the earth. Keep the candle and fabric as keepsakes, but don’t use them for magic again.
