Spell: Planting Dimes for the Fae

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Legend has it that faeries and other wee folk have a penchant for shiny things—especially dimes! Depending on the country in which you live, gather dimes or the smallest silver coins offered in your local currency. Shine up thirteen of these dimes (or other coins) with soap and water. Put these in your right-hand pocket and carry a small packet of honey with you to your favorite natural spot where you expect the wee folk to have a presence— ideally in your own garden, backyard, or neighborhood!

Legend also has it that we should offer gratitude to the fae in order to gain their protection or—at the very least—keep them from tricking us too severely. “Plant” the dimes in the earth by simply pushing them into the soil, and say this prayer:

Faeries true and faeries bright, I
thank you now with love and light.

Drip some honey on each planting, knowing that you are spreading a little astral light to inhabitants of a realm that can always benefit from a bit more respectful acknowledgment.
