Spell: Spell to Honor Aphrodite

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

This date is the old Greek Festival of Aphrodite, goddess of love, sex, and beauty. She was considered important for partnerships of all kinds because of her compassion.

To set up your altar for Aphrodite attunement, use the colors pink, pale green, and pale blue. Her gems include rhodocrosite, rhodonite, and rose quartz. Roses are her flower, especially pink or fragrant heirloom roses. Incense and oils should reflect flowers and fruits, all of which are sacred to Aphrodite and are under her astrological rulership (the planet Venus, which rules Libra and Taurus).

To invite Aphrodite's blessing, light a pink seven-day candle, visualize Aphrodite's loving sphere of peace, compassion, and love illuminating the room with a pale pink light. Softly chant her name (the traditional pronunciation for magic is "Ah-fro-DEE-tay") and become aware of the loving, peaceful energy invoked by thoughts of her.
