In many climates in the Northern Hemisphere, May is a great month to begin planting or making plans to do so. You don't have to be a master gardener by any means; it's quite easy to grow simple veggies such as tomatoes, leafy greens, carrots, radishes, mushrooms, peppers, and others-even if you're only using planters inside an apartment! Do some research online and begin your sustainable mission.
When you get your seeds or starts and have secured a place for them in your home or garden, close your eyes and lightly touch the leaves or topsoil. Feel the energy of the plant's spirit. Does it give you any messages? Is it telling you how best to care for it? In your mind's eye, do you see images of certain charms, gemstones, or decorative objects that the plant would like to have nestled in its soil? When you feel ready, repeat these words: "Grow, survive, bloom, and thrive!" Repeat this frequently as you care daily for the vegetable and its spirit. |
