| Planting time is almost here. It's time to wake up your soil and prepare your garden. But the earth still sleeps. Although we're graced with warm days, summer is still a couple months away.
Use April's energy to awaken and revive the soil. Clear away any debris that has gathered over the winter, and lightly rake the soil. If the weather allows, take your shoes off and walk in your garden. Feel the tingle of new life preparing to sprout forth. Face the east and raise your arms. Walk a clockwise circle as you call upon the power of nature: "Great is the golden sun and the blessed season that has begun. Great is the moon, powerful and bright, who shines upon us through the night. Great is the rain, which cleanses and makes us whole again. Great is the earth, on whom we do depend! Blessed be!" |
