| In my father's Balinese family, Quan Yin is a deity who is venerated. She is known throughout the world as a being of deep compassion and mercy. She is also known to have originated from the mysterious bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. I have found that Quan Yin is a being who desires to be accessed by all. Go to her with respect and sincere intention and she will come to you.
Obtain an image of Quan Yin and burn jasmine or rose incense before it. Enter a state of meditation and sing the following mantra, which is dedicated to Quan Yin. As you do so, hold your intention for healing in your heart. Find a reputable source online so you can hear the mantra chanted and learn how to pronounce the words correctly: "Om mani padme hum." |
