Words carry power. And when words are used intentionally as invocations, the power is magnified.
An invocation is a means of asking for assistance, figuratively "invoking" power from another source. Today we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. King spent his life working to bring peace to the world and all its people, and today you can continue his work by invoking his assistance, using his words of power, and speaking his wishes aloud. Each time you meet someone today-whether in person, by phone, or online-begin your conversation with "peace be with you." You'll be calling upon King to stand with you. As you do so, your words will become magick, filled with intention as you offer each person a blessing of peace. For added oomph, wear white today and light white candles on your altar. Peace be with you! |
