In Norway, today marks the beginning of ten weeks of perpetual light, with no darkness at night. The annual Festival of the Midnight Sun is held at sunrise, honoring the ancient Norse goddess of the sun, Sunna. Drawn by her horses "Very Fast" and "Early Riser," Sunna drives the sun chariot across the sky daily. Sunna is radiant light: bright, warm, and joyous. Her healing energy evokes peace and love.
Sit in the sun and invoke Sunna. With eyes closed, connect with her radiance. Breathe it in through your third-eye chakra, taking the dancing light up over your skull and down your spine. Exhale from your root chakra, the radiant light flooding into the earth. Each breath bathes the energy path with radiant light. Say: "Sunna, heal me with radiant light. I'm a vessel of peace and love. I radiate your lightness throughout the coming days and nights." |
