Tally's Electric Theatre, the first motion picture theater in Los Angeles, California, opened on this day in 1902. In honor of both movie magic and Craft magick, it's time for a magickal movie night! Have a magickal friend or two over tonight, and have a viewing of your favorite movie with magickal themes and characters. Don't forget the snacks and treats-ask each guest to bring their favorite. Afterward, have a discussion of the lessons to be learned from the movie's story and how accurate or inaccurate it was to real-life Craft magick. Sometimes movies feature magick that is pleasantly realistic to that which we practice in real life-even if it does take artistic liberties and add a little cinematic sparkle around the edges. Other times the magick featured in movies is nothing like that of real-life Witches. Either way, what is most important tonight is to remember to have fun! |
