The fact that you're reading this book shows that you're a seeker of self-awareness. It's also likely that you have most, if not all, of your physical needs met (food, water, clothing, health, and so forth). Bearing this in mind, consider the lifestyles of other people across the globe. Bring to mind the level of abundance and wellness we have in comparison to the suffering and survival-based desperation that many people experience.
Invoke the essence of gratitude by blessing all of the food and drink you currently have on hand. Open your refrigerator, freezer, cupboards, and pantry. While you do this, examine each item thoroughly and think of its origin-where did it come from? Imagine each item glowing in a soft white light. If you wish, carry a stick of sage and smudge every edible item you own. As you do this, declare: "Abundance I receive; gratitude I give! I enjoy and I share; I am truly blessed to live!" |
