Many people are working as freelancers these days. It can be difficult to find more assignments, given recent changes in technology and communication. No wonder our confidence can slip away without us even noticing.
Try this simple spell to help generate more freelance work. Get a multicolored stack of sticky notes. On each note, write one word that reminds you of how unique and effective your work is. These might be words like "reliable," "wordsmith," "resourceful," or "passionate." Place these notes around your workspace: above your desk, on your computer monitor, on the doorframe, on your bulletin board, on a window, etc. When you see them, say aloud, "I am reliable!" and follow up with another related statement, such as "I get the job done!" This amounts to giving yourself small, frequent pep talks. Change the location of these notes periodically to associate them with different activities (putting "resourceful" by your wastebasket may remind you to use materials more efficiently). |
