| On this date in 1930, Harvey Milk was born. The first openly gay politician, Harvey Milk advocated for human rights and insisted that coming out of the closet would help heal the breach. Sadly, he was assassinated in 1978. As an iconic force for positive change, Harvey Milk lives on as a modern-day saint or archetypal ascended master who promotes selfacceptance, courage, and activism.
Today, create an altar to Harvey and ask for his help in speaking and living your truth and affecting positive change in the world. Consider his life story and all that he accomplished by being himself. Then, say an invocation, such as: "Harvey Milk, thank you for living bravely and providing such a positive example of courage and activism. Please help me to live as bravely and as fully as you did, and to create positive change within me and around me. Thank you." |
