Ancient Egyptians used today to honor the goodness of Ma'at, goddess of truth and balance. It was against the feather of Ma'at that the hearts of the deceased were judged.
Decorate a small wreath to hang in your home that will welcome in the goodness of Ma'at, encouraging balance and trust among loved ones. Wrap a feather boa around a small foam or straw wreath form. Add some flowers or greenery for decoration, including a couple of ostrich feathers, which are representative of Ma'at. Place the wreath on your altar before a blue candle, and light some sandalwood or a similar incense. I've provided an invocation, but feel free to create your own. "Heavenly Ma'at, bestow your goodness on this home. From the chaos of life, bring balance and truth to this home and to those who dwell within. So may it be." |
