LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Flower Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

May flowers are very potent in spell working. Knowing the "language" of flowers is a simple method of putting our intentions before the Universe as a signal for the world to meet our needs. Growing your own flowers is very satisfying, but not necessary for this spell. You can walk through the woods picking wild flowers, or select a bouquet from a florist shop. Small bouquets were known as Tussie Mussies and could be used to send specific messages. Although we are most familiar with the meanings of roses, there are many other floras that can be used to specify our needs and wants in spell working. For those with access to a computer, a search for "Language of Flowers" will bring up a number of excellent sites to help you decide which flowers or plants can be used in your own specific spell. Your local library can also provide you with books and articles to help in this search for spell-working tools.
