In the darkness of mid-October, invoke Kali, the Hindu Triple Goddess of creation, preservation, and destruction. With her insatiable hunger, she births then devours. As the seasons slide toward death, now is time to face the fears that devour you. And Tuesday, ruled by Mars, is a day for courage. Sit quietly with your fears. Do not run, but turn to face them. Entertain worst-case scenarios; imagine yourself with cancer, poverty, or madness. Look deep into the face of fear, and see Kali, the Dark Mother. And remember, out of the darkness must come light. Now ask Kali to walk by your side, as you travel through the wheel of the seasons, journeying within to face your fear.
Abide with me Kali, and walk through my fires of fear. Be near in darkness, so that my fear may be revealed to light. |
