Kwanzaa begins
During the holidays nobody really thinks about their health. But here's a little hint that will help you take care of all those medical tests that you should have had done this year and didn't. This time of year, the doctor's offices, health centers, and medical testing centers are empty because everyone is more focused on family and holidays than doctor's appointments. For women, this means you could probably call your doctor's office or health center tomorrow and probably get in to see the doctor for your annual Pap smear and mammogram by the end of the week (even with the New Year's holiday). For men, this is a good time to schedule that physical that you keep putting off. Take advantage of the empty waiting rooms and short waiting times and have that preventive testing done for your own sake, and the sake of your family. |
