Color of the day: Brown
Incense of the day: Honeysuckle Call upon Demeter to aid you in this harvest-time ritual. Begin in early morning in your garden. Dress an altar in seasonal colors of gold and brown at the center of your plants. Call your directions and then say: Great Demeter, to thee I call to aid me in my harvest. May my plants be easily harvested, offering to me the fruits of their labors. May I be obliging in treating them with respect as they go to their rest. Great Demeter, to thee I ask let my work be rewarding, let my crops be rich and plentiful. Begin to harvest those foods that are ready, in clockwise order if possible. As you harvest, thank each plant for its efforts and pledge to share its bounty with loved ones, as well as to save some seed for the coming year. |
