Spell: Kitchen Blessing

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Gray
Incense of the day: Ivy

Today is a festival day of the Roman goddess of the hearth, Vesta. Vesta was the first of all deities to be invoked, as she represented the flame that burns at the center of Earth. Vesta is the perfect choice to protect your hearth and home. Today, most folks have the kitchen as their sacred hearth area, so let's do a bit of kitchen magic. Light a red cinnamon-scented candle for Vesta in the center of your kitchen. Red is a sacred color of Vesta and the cinnamon scent encourages protection, prosperity, and comfort.
Goddess of fire and the sacred hearth flame,
Now I bless my modern hearth in Vesta's name.
Protect us well, keeping us happy and safe.
May your fiery light shine forth and grant us grace.
Allow the candle to burn out safely.
