Color of the day: Crimson
Incense of the day: Juniper This is Saint Andrew's eve. Traditionally this night was one of the most magically potent nights of the year. Throughout old Europe it was a night to perform divinations and love spells, and it was believed to be the only night of the year when vampires walked the countryside. Here is a love spell appropriate for this night. Cast your magic circle, and at each direction light a silver candle. With your athame, form an "X" shape in the air above each candle. In the center of the circle, light a red candle you've rubbed with rose water. In your cauldron burn the silver love-herb, southernwood; it's an herb of passion. Then speak this charm: Saint Andrew, before this night is through, hear my desire for love. This will be done with perfect timing, in the most perfect way, and with harm to none. Let the red candle burn down naturally. Rub what remains of the red candle with the cooled southernwood ashes. Keep it as a power object if you wish. |
