Incense of the day: Poplar Today is the Christian Easter. One modern Easter tradition is to wear something new. Wearing new clothing is an excellent way to express a commitment to a fresh start, a new direction, or simply a renewal of dedication. Do you have a new or special garment that you could consecrate today? If so, make sure that the garment is clean and in good repair. Have a blooming flower, potted or cut, nearby. Say: O flower of spring, your fresh bloom symbolizes my spirit today. I consecrate my garment to my new direction. Lightly blow the flower's fragrance over your garment, top to bottom, front to back. Afterward, you may wish to take a ritual bath before you don the garment. Go out someplace special. Let others see you in your newly consecrated garment. |
