Color of the day: Blue
Incense of the day: Patchouli Egg-shaped magical objects have been used by Celtic people for thousands of years. Stones shaped like eggs were found in prehistoric ritual sites in Britain. In ancient Gaul, the Druids revered something called a Druid's Egg-a strange natural object that they believed was created by the hissing of intertwining serpents. Almost two thousand years later, a similar belief still existed in Scotland. People encountered strange gray-colored, egg-shaped objects among the heather which they believed were created by the hissing of serpents. These were called Serpent's Stones, and they were used for healing and protection. Find an egg-shaped stone and bathe it in springtime dew. Set it in a dish of spring water. Pick some springtime flowers and float these on the surface of the water for three days. Consecrate the stone and include this object in your ritual gear, especially when doing magical work for healing, protection, fertility, or growth. |
