Spell: Burning Wood Clean Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Lavender
Incense of the day: Chrysanthemum

The end of the year draws near. The nights grow longer and colder, so now is the time to cut and store wood for fireplaces, stoves, and ritual bonfires. This spell helps the wood burn hot and clean. Take the stub of a red candle that you have used on your altar. Make sure the wax itself is red all the way through, not just colored red on the outside. With the red wax, draw the rune Sigil (s) on one end of each log. As its shape suggests, Sigil represents the Sun, magical will, and lightning success. While you work, chant:

Red of fire,
Brown of wood,
Make this spell both strong and good.
By the power 0f the Sun,
Light and heat
For everyone!

If any wax remains after you finish marking all of your firewood, bury the candle stub behind the woodpile.
