Spell: Hunter’s Feast Ritual

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Topaz
Incense of the day: Eucalyptus

This day was traditionally a feast day for honoring Diana/Artemis in her huntress aspect. Why not have a traditional hunter's feast for your Pagan friends this week? The main dish should be some form of meat, preferably venison if available, as deer are associated with Diana. Vegetarians could create a veggie loaf of grains and mushrooms. Serve seasonal vegetables and a good hearty soup such as mushroom or potato-leek, along with a full-bodied red wine like merlot. For dinner music, how about that Pagan classic "Songs from the Wood" by Jethro Tull? Or else play something suitably sylvan in tone. Such a meal served in summer reminds us of the coming winter, when we will eat hearty foods to stay warm.
