Today is a good day to count your blessings, literally. To do so, make a small blessing altar. This can be a space on top of a dresser or a small table. Make a list of everything you are thankful for-including your family, friends, job, good health, home, and so on. Make the list as long and specific as possible, and list everyone and everything by name. Then take a large clear jar or vase and fill it with small objects, such as pebbles or marbles, one for each item on the list. Place a few pictures of specific blessings, such as pictures of your mate, your children, and so on, in front of the jar. Place a white candle on this altar, and light it every day for a few minutes while you give thanks for your many blessings. |
