Spell: Calling the Rusalki Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The Rusalki (singular, Rusalka) were sensuous sirens in Russian mythology. To attract their bounteous power for love and protection (of you or of waterways), read this poem at a river, lake, or seashore.
Rusalka
We wrapped ourselves
in your silken waves.
We clouded men's eyes
with our colors, our
patterns,
The blues and greens
that blend river water,
Green banks, and leaden sky as one.

We flashed
our eyes, spume-green,
sea-blue, and drew
the power of the wind
within us.

And when they called
your beauty forth,
All the seawalls
in the world
could not contain it;
We laughed and danced
the joy of otters,
undines, mermaids,
Manatees.

In your aqua world
made flesh.
