Spell: Nature’s Altar

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

To honor nature's beauty and strengthen your magickal connection to the Earth, try setting up this nature altar using resources provided by your local ecosystem. Begin by arranging a small handful of pebbles or stones in a circle to delineate the space you want to make into an altar. Next, gather other items from the environment that appeal to you. Use only things provided by the immediate ecosystem. Arrange these items artfully within the altar space. You might make a spiral of leaves, a stack of stones, a sculpture of twigs, or a mosaic of varying shades of dirt. Observe how your human touch has connected with nature's inherent beauty and rearranged its aspects to form something new, just as we do through the process of making magick. Place your palms flat on the ground in the altar space as you say:
Nature do I serve, and nature do
I wield! With nature, I destroy!
With nature, do I build!

Leave a piece of your hair or a small piece of your fingernail within the space. Let the altar arrangement naturally scatter and return to the earth.
