Happy Winter Solstice, witches! Tonight is the longest night of the year, and people all over the world are celebrating the metaphorical rebirth of the Sun. In addition to the traditional festivities, this is an excellent time to harness the energy of the Sun’s unique transition and direct it to reveal hidden information that until now has been difficult to find. Mythologically, the Sun begins its journey back from the underworld now, and we can ask the Sun to bring with it lost information and forgotten secrets.

Write a question you need answered on a piece of paper and safely burn it in a heatproof container. Collect the ashes and scatter them to the wind at dawn and say:

Ashes to ashes, dust in the wind.
