Spell: A Spell to Quell the Pooka

The pooka, a denizen of the fairy realm, delights in leading travelers astray. This creature usually appears as a horse, goat, rabbit, bull, or large hairy human, although its transmutations are not limited to these few. Any creature that is abnormally large and excessively hairy is suspect. However, it is the pooka you cannot see that is often the most menacing. While invisible, the pooka may manifest itself as an ill wind or as unexplained eerie noises intended to unnerve and confuse you. To subdue the pooka, carry three
polished carnelian stones with you. Whenever necessary, place them on the ground in a triangular pattern around you and say: "I see you for the rascal that you are.
