Spell: Sun Day

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Clearly, it's not Sunday. But in 1978, May 3rd was Sun Day, designated by President Jimmy Carter to raise awareness about and promote solar power. Those of us who honor the ancient ways are particularly attuned to the vast power of the sun to govern the cycles and seasons and to lend light and warmth to our spirits and lives. How appropriate, then, for modern technology to employ a few of the sun's life-giving rays toward lighting and warming our cities and homes. What's more, solar power can obviously support the earth and all her inhabitants by reducing our dependence on dirty energy and endless wars, and minimizing all the atrocities that follow in their wake.

Today, light a yellow candle to support a species-wide shift to solar and other clean energy sources. Also set the intention to shift your own setup to clean energy whenever financially and physically feasible.
