For this spell, you'll need seven pieces of soft thin cloth, such as silk, as well as a poppet. For the poppet, just cut out two matching gingerbread shapes from white cotton, and decorate one of them to look like yourself at your best. Sew the two pieces right sides together, then turn right-side out. Leave a gap for stuffing with herbs of love and lust, such as rose petals, damiana, and patchouli(look this one up!), as well as herbs of wisdom, such as sage and sunflower, adding angelica, if desired, for psychic visions. Sew the opening shut.
When the poppet is all finished, wrap it with the seven cloths while pondering the many ways you have been kept from being your truest sexual self. Then every night leading up to the new moon, pull one layer of cloth off of the poppet, saying: "As I pull away this layer of [cloth], so I open myself to the truth of who I am, with acceptance and love." On the last night before the new moon, pick up the poppet and hold it close, telling yourself that you love and approve of yourself in ALL your many facets. Place the poppet on your altar, and leave it there through Beltane, to be honored and celebrated with respect and joy. Blessed be. |
