| Today is Flag Day in the United States. It's a waning moon, and Mercury is retrograde, so consider how to eliminate negativity from expressions of patriotism. Often, patriotism can become a jumble of confused feelings, so today, let's do a clearing.
Prepare three candles: red, white, and blue. Light the red candle and meditate on bravery. Allow bloodshed, violence, and hate to fall away. Let the courage of your patriotism be pride of a gentle spirit. Light the white candle and meditate on purity. Allow distrust to fall away. Think of those with whom you disagree fiercely, and trust the purity of their motivations. Light the blue candle and meditate on justice. Allow the desire to restrict others to fall away in the face of freedom. Understand that justice is a higher motivation than vengeance, and allow the feeling of true justice to drive away anger. Sing your favorite patriotic song. |
