Spell: The Cup of Concordia

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

This is a feast day of the Roman goddess Concordia. It is a good day to make peace within the family or household. We often take our families for granted and expect that our relationships will function on autopilot. But maintaining trust and compassion can require effort at times.
Perform this ritual when you want to preserve peace in your home and/or among family members. Take a cup or chalice and place it on your altar or a central location, such as the dining room or hall table. Every time you perform a kind act or say something positive to a family member, add a tablespoon of water to the cup. Every time you speak sharply to or lose patience with a family memeber, or otherwise cause friction, take a tablespoon of water out of the cup.
After a week, see how empty or full the cup is. Try to keep the cup close to full as possible.
