We can use humor spells to banish bad moods. Make a point of collecting jokes that you find especially funny. Write them on 3x5 inch cards, or in a small notebook. When you have had a bad day, when the outlook is bleak, go to a room where you usually practice magic, and cast a circle. Think about one thing that has gone wrong, or is going wrong, or that you are afraid will go wrong. Then read one joke out loud. Allow yourself to laugh as long as you wish. Repeat several times as necessary, but not more than nine times. If necessary, read several more jokes out loud without thinking about anything else. Then, end the circle and ground the energy. You can also use a recording of jokes (either make one yourself or get a recording of assorted jokes). The jokes, of course, all have to be hilarious to you personally. |
