Ramadan begins Today begins Ramadan, the most blessed month in the Islamic calendar, observed by fasting and acts of charity. Charity in Pagan life helps us remember that we are all part of the universal energy of giving and receiving. For a spell to help us express our charity, gather a small box, green ribbon, pieces of paper, and a large bowl. On the paper, write all things for which you are grateful and place them in the box. Tie the box with the green ribbon, knotting it three times. With each knot, give thanks for the bounty in your life. Place it in the bowl. Place the bowl on your altar or a shelf where you can't see the contents. At each New Moon for a year, put a percentage of the cash in your wallet in the bowl. At the end of the year, donate the money to a charity of your choice. |
