Incense of the day: Lavender I've carried a pocket rock for years and years, even before the pet rock craze. (Rocks make excellent pets, especially small ones you can carry with you. True, they aren't very lively, but they don't need to be fed.) There are many books about the magical and psychic properties of various stones. Agates are good for keeping grounded. Amethysts are calming and are traditionally said to keep a person from getting drunk. Hematite and carnelian are good for protection. Rose quartz is soothing for many people. Rutilant quartz and citrine will give you more energy. Choose your pocket rocks with care. Each rock is different. Hold a rock for a while and see what it feels like to you before you decide to "adopt" it. Carry it for a few days and see what happens. You may need to rest a particular stone from time to time; you may want grounding one day and more energy another, so having several to choose from is useful. |
