Incense of the day: Sage Remember the old days when animals worked closely with us? Well they still can if you are attentive to them and thank them for their contributions. I like to work magic with birds, my namesake. You may find that you do as well. Here is one of my favorites, a simple bird spell. All you need is a large bag of birdseed, a bowl, some water, and a photograph representing what you need. Go to a place that is not used often by humans, and put out the picture at high noon. Put your power stone or crystal atop the picture. Cast a large circle using wild bird food, and write out a simple wish in bird food inside the circle. Put out a little dish of fresh water and leave the location. Return the next day, retrieving your picture and power stone. Expect your wish to come true within a fortnight. If it doesn't, try it again in a different place. If you want to do bird magic often, try keeping a birdbath or grow a garden containing flowers, berries, and wild grasses. |
