Spell: Kokopelli Rain Ritual

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Brown
Incense of the day: Lilac

Kokopelli is a hump-backed, flute-playing spirit intimately tied to the sacred rites of spring, gardening, birth, renewal, sexuality, and rain. To invoke Kokopelli, play a CD of Lakota flute music. Burn a mixture of tobacco, cedar, and mugwort in a censor over charcoal. Spread some blue or red cornmeal (substitute yellow if necessary) on the floor. Dip your finger into a glass of rainwater. Draw the simple shape of Kokopelli in the cornmeal. Wet your fingers well with the rain-water once more. Sprinkle a few raindrops over your head. Lie down next to the drawing and allow the sensual music and sacred incense inspire the flow of creativity.
