Color of the day: Pink
Incense of the day: Sandalwood In medieval calendars this was a day of love, when all nature found a mate. By the eighteenth century this was called St. Valentine's Day Eve, and was set aside as a time to divine the identity of a future love. Prophecies were sought by inducing dreams or by scrying. To see a possible future mate, try this spell. On a table, place your favorite scrying tool-a sphere, mirror, or bowl of water. Surround this with five dried bay leaves, placed so they will roughly represent the shape of a pentagram. Inhale the scent of the leaves, relax, and say: With these leaves of bay, let me see the love coming my way. Scry for about ten to fifteen minutes. When done, put the leaves in a love charm bag to use again. |
