An April Rain Cleaning Spell

Color of the day:  Indigo
Incense of the day:  Rue

April rains are cleansing and nurturing. This is a good time to clean your ritual tools, refresh your altar, and renew the positive energy of your ritual space. To do this, if possible place any magical tools that won't be harmed outside during a gentle April rain. Place them in a protected area. (If you can't do this, I have a suggestion for you next.) Leave your tools outside for a couple of minutes. Bring them inside and place them on a clean kitchen towel. Using a soft cotton cloth, buff them dry. Visualize any negative energy leaving your tools. Dust your altar, then place your tools back on your altar. Spritz your ritual space with any calming scent that appeals to you.

For those of you who can't place your ritual tools outside in the rain, try this. Dampen a soft cotton cloth with bottled spring water. Wipe off each tool. Visualize any dark energy leaving your tools. Follow with the remaining instructions. Now your ritual tools are as fresh as April rain!
