Put Away Summer

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Marjoram

As the growing season draws to a close, it's time to put away your summer things and clear out the old energy. This makes way for new fall things and fresh energy. Begin by brushing your hands or a fan over your body to clear your aura. Then sweep the floor from the edges toward the door and out over the threshold, or into a dustpan at the threshold. Visualize negativity leaving with it.

Look at your summer things. Do you have outdoor toys that will need replacing in the spring or that have been outgrown? Discard worn-out ones, or donate those that are still good. Check your clothes. Will you or your kids be the same size in the spring? If not, then discard, repurpose, or give away clothes you won't wear again. Swap out any towels, sheets, tablecloths, decorations, or other thematic items for fall ones.

Finally, concentrate on the spiritual energies of summer and tuck them away. Think of fall and bring those energies forward as the seasons turn.
