If, like me, you’re older than twelve, you may find technology bewildering when you get a new device or an upgrade. To make this new technology more understandable and easier to work with, fill it with magic.

Lay the new device on your altar. Center yourself and then surround the device with a circle of indigo (third-eye chakra) energy. Strengthen the circle, then expand it so it’s a big indigo bubble with your device in the center. Speak the following invocation:

O, (name of device),
New Technology—
O, Smart Technology—
Be friendly.
Be accessible!
Take my hand
And lead me through your mysteries,
Through your vocabulary,
Through your apps and upgrades.
O, Helpful Technology—
Be kind to me.
Be user-friendly.

Make me your partner.
So mote it be!

Sit with the indigo bubble with the device in the center and visualize yourself using the device comfortably and with confidence. When you feel ready to proceed, open the bubble and the circle and pick up the device. Do something!
