Fresh Water Blessing

During the season of Cancer, the water sign in which the summer solstice occurs, I always create time for a fresh water blessing, investing spirit and energy in this life-giving force. Regardless of where you live, take a moment today to conduct a water blessing. Whether you go to a remote lake or an urban pond or pull a glass of water from your tap, pause and connect. Touch the water with your body. Dip a toe in, or a finger, or even your tongue. As your body touches the water, send thoughts of gratitude to the water: Thank you. Imagine the water meeting you in relationship: I love you. Pledge to serve and protect the water: I will work to keep you safe. Ask now what the water needs from you, and listen. Through the coming year, remember to honor and serve the water.
