Yes-or-No Tea Leaf Reading

Color of the day:  Blue
Incense of the day:  Sandalwood

Sometimes you just want a quick yes-0r-no divination technique. While tea leaf reading, or tasseography, can certainly provide far more insight and guidance than this spell, it can also be used to get a fast answer to a burning question.

Materials:

Your favorite loose leaf tea

A teacup with a handle and a saucer

1 teaspoon food-grade rose water

Make yourself a cup of loose leaf tea as you normally would, allowing it to steep to your desired flavor. Just before your drink it, add a teaspoon of rose water. Say:

Nature’s herbs and roses know

if the answer’s yes or no.

State your question aloud and then drink the tea. When you’re done, point the handle of the cup toward you. Turn the cup upside down onto the saucer to drain the excess liquid, then flip it back up and look inside. If most of the leaves are stuck to the right of the handle, the answer is yes. If they’re on the left, the answer is no.
