Though they are called by different names, there’s a common theme throughout: if you want things in your home to be copacetic, then respecting the house spirits is crucial. If this is a new idea to you, it may help to build or provide a tiny home or space just for the spirits where you can interact with them. Possibilities include a small birdhouse, a little curio cabinet, or a snail shell—nothing with locks or seals, so they can come and go as they please. Decorate as you feel inspired, and place it near the center of your home, ideally tucked away, semiprivate (in a corner, on a shelf, on top of a mantel, etc.). Announce to them:
