Make Friends with Moonstone

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Narcissus

June is one of only two months that has three different birthstones associated with it. One of these is moonstone, which is a favorite gemstone of Witches. No matter which month you were born in, now is a good time to become better acquainted with this beautiful opalescent form of feldspar. Moonstone is most commonly seen in its white hue, from which is gets its association with the moon, although it can also come in a coral pink, blue, or even rainbow color. Because it is white and seems to glow, moonstone has long been linked both to the moon and to goddesses, especially lunar deities such as Diana, Isis, and Selene, among others.

Take a piece of moonstone and hold it in your hands. Close your eyes and feel its energy, then offer it up to the goddess to bless:

Goddess, bless this stone
Dedicated to the moon and to you
And to all positive magical work.
So mote it be.
